STOP! Don’t let your kids sit in front of the TV, Computer, Videos Games, etc. all summer long! You need to take action NOW and plan a CHEAP VACATION they will remember forever !

If you are trying to save money but want a good family vacation then the perfect thing to do is go on a family camping trip. Even if money is not an issue, a family camping trip will build memories to last a lifetime and create a great bonding experience.

If you only have one or two nights available (e.g., a weekend) then plan to go somewhere close if possible, say 50-150 miles away. Hopefully that will be far enough to get you to some cooler weather. If you already have camping gear then great, maybe you only need the basics such as food, water, etc…

If you don’t have any camping equipment or very limited gear, then you will need to borrow or buy sleeping gear such as tents, sleeping bags (or bring sheet, blankets, pillows, etc – but don’t forget a mat or blowup mattress as the ground can be hard).
