Teton Sports Celsius XL 0-Degree Sleeping Bag (Green-Right Zip)

Tired of squeezing into mummy-sized bags? Slip into the Celsius XL sleeping bag--an oversized model that luxuriously fits one person but also accommodates two for cuddling. Campers can even attach the Celsius XL to a second bag using the left and right side zippers, thus creating a true monster bag. The Celsius XL is outfitted with a soft cotton flannel liner filled with SuperLoft Elite hollow fiber insulation that keeps the cold out and the warmth in. Also present are an insulating shoulder baffle and a full-length zipper draft tube--features commonly associated with more expensive bags. And though the bag is plenty warm as is (it offers a temperature rating of 0 degrees F), campers can get even cozier by pulling down the adjustable mummy hood.
Other features include an internal storage pocket that allows easy access to your keys, wallet, and other valuables and an Oxford nylon compression sack that makes the Celsius XL easy to transport and store. The bag measures 90 inches long by 39 inches wide and weighs in at a manageable 7.5 pounds.
Amazon.com Sleeping Bag Guide
Sleep Well: Finding the Right Sleeping Bag
Sleeping bag technology has come a long way from the days of cowboy bedrolls. These days, there are a number of high-tech materials and designs available to keep you warm during the coldest outings. Here's a short list of things to keep in mind when you're shopping for a bag:
Buy for Cold
It's a safe bet that on at least one of your adventures, the nighttime temperature will drop unexpectedly. That's why it's smart to buy a bag that's rated for the lowest possible temperature you expect to face on your camping and backpacking trips. For summer trips, a bag rated at +35 degrees or higher will likely do the trick. If you like to camp in higher elevations in the summer, or if spring and fall outings are in your future, consider bags rated from +10 to +35. Winter adventurers should look for bags in the -10 to +10 range, while those on serious winter alpine climbs and expeditions will want a bag rated lower than -10.
Keep in mind that sleeping bag manufacturers' temperature ratings only estimate the minimum temperature at which the bag will provide warmth. Take these numbers with a grain of salt, as different folks generate different amounts of heat when they sleep. If you're the type who likes to pile on the covers even on warmer nights, go for a bag that's rated ten degrees colder. The opposite is true for "warm" sleepers--a 35-degree bag will probably work for you on a 25-degree night.
Goose or No Goose?
The most important component of any sleeping bag is its insulating material. Modern sleeping bags offer two choices: goose down or synthetic. While both materials have advantages and disadvantages, down bags are considered superior because of their phenomenal warmth-to-weight and warmth-to-bulk ratios. While providing great insulation, down is extremely compressible and light. There's a reason why geese can fly and stay warm through the winter! Down also boasts great long-term durability and will typically retain its insulating properties after years of use.
All of that said, there are many high-quality synthetic bags on the market and synthetic materials are getting better all the time. While a synthetic bag will weigh somewhat more than a down bag at an equivalent temperature rating, synthetic bags perform better when wet. (Yes, the Achilles heel of down is that it loses all insulating properties when wet.) If your trips take you to wet climates, you may want to consider a synthetic bag for this reason alone. Keep in mind, too, that many people are allergic to down--synthetic bags are non-allergenic. Finally, down is considerably more expensive than synthetic, which might tip the balance for adventurers on a budget.
Bags for All Shapes
Sleeping bags come in two basic shapes that reflect their intended use. Mummy-shaped bags offer the best warmth because they conform to the body's contours. This minimizes the amount of body heat the body must put out to maintain a constant temperature. Many mummy bags are offered in women-specific shapes and sizes, as well. Rectangular bags, while they do offer more room to toss and turn, are less thermally efficient because they contain more open air space. Also, they are typically heavier than mummy bags, and are generally not offered with down insulation, making them best suited for car camping or short backpacking trips.
Pad Yourself
No matter what kind of bag you choose, a sleeping pad is a required accessory. Not only do they provide much-needed comfort when sleeping on the ground, pads also offer crucial warmth for your backside, as the weight of your body compresses--and renders virtually useless--the sleeping bag insulation that lies beneath you.

Teton Sports Mammoth 0-Degree Sleeping Bag

The perfect bag for any family outing, the Teton Mammoth bag is comfortable, warm, and large enough to accommodate almost any camper--and sometimes even two or three. The Mammoth sports a soft cotton flannel lining with a temperature rating of 0 degrees F, helping campers stay cozy in almost any family camping locale. The bag's shoulder baffle and pair of full-length zipper draft tubes, meanwhile, help keep warmth in and cold out, a must on chilly fall evenings. And campers who really want to insulate will delight in the adjustable mummy hood, which pulls down tight for extra warmth.
But the real attention-getter is the Mammoth's massive size, which can comfortably hold a pair of adults plus one small child, or as many as four young children at once. The large sleeping pocket makes this bag ideal for family trips to the beach, backyard sleepovers, and a ton of other people-intensive situations. Plus, should campers need to get out of the bag without disturbing their partners, they can simply use the full-length zipper on either side to make a quick exit.
Other features include internal storage pockets on both sides for holding keys, wallets, and other valuables and an Oxford nylon compression sack that makes the Mammoth easy to transport and store. The Mammoth measures 94 inches long by 62 inches wide and weighs 17 pounds. It's also backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Columbia Double Whammy Rectangular Fleece Sleeping Bag and Pillow

Columbia Sportswear Company was founded in 1938. Columbia Sportswear Company began as a small family-owned distributorship and today Columbia is one of the world's largest outerwear companies. The history begins with Paul and Marie Lamfrom. They fled from Germany and settled in Portland, Oregon. Paul and Marie opened up a hat distributorship and named their company the Columbia Hat Company. They took the name from the nearby Columbia River. Today, their 82 year old daughter, Gert, is the Chairman of the Board and her son, Tim Boyle is President and Chief Executive Officer. Columbia Sportswear Company has a wide-range of stylish, and functional products to choose from. Columbia is famous for their Interchange System. This concept was developed in 1982 and made Columbia a leader in the outerwear industry. Columbia first started with an interchange jacket which was made for hunting and featured a weatherproof outershell with an insulating inner jacket that could be worn together or separately, thus making each parka three or four garments in one. Because of the popularity of this garment, Columbia applied the same concept to a ski parka and called it the Bugaboo™. The Bugaboo became one of the best-selling ski jackets in history. In 1991, Columbia developed a waterproof, breathable coating Omni-Tech which makes it now the second-largest user of waterproof, breathable fabric in the world.

Columbia Trekster Junior Mummy Sleeping Bag

Keep warm even when the temperatures reach 10 degrees Fahrenheit with Columbia's Trekster Junior mummy-style sleeping bag. This yellow and green sleeping bag weighs 40 ounces and is 65 inches long. It has a strong polyester 210 thread count ripstop outer shell, which is reinforced with tiny ribs of material, creating a checkerboard-like pattern. The sleeping bag also features a double draft tube, which is fixed to the bag so that it lies in the same direction as, and extends past, the zip. When the zips come together the draft tube sits firmly across the zip, minimizing draft and heat loss. The Dry loop built-in hanging loop makes for easy drying and cleaning. Other features include a woven reflective zipper pull, self-fabric closure with zipper pocket, fleece foot, 9 stitches per inch, and offset inside quilting to prevent cold spots. It comes with a compression sack with an ID tag.
Specifications:

Size: 65 x 25 x 19 inches
Fits to 5 feet, 1 inch
Temperature rating: +10° F
Outer: Polyester 210 thread count ripstop
Liner: Polyester 190 thread count
Fill: Thermal C°
Fill weight: 40 ounces
Total weight: 68 ounces
Stuff size: 15.75 x 10.25 inches

About Columbia Sportswear
Founded in 1938, Columbia Sportswear Company has grown from a small family-owned hat distributor to one of the world's largest outerwear brands and the leading seller of ski-wear in the United States. Columbia's extensive product line includes a wide variety of outerwear, sportswear, rugged footwear and accessories. Columbia specializes in developing innovative products that are functional yet stylish and offer great value. Eighty-year-old matriarch Gert Boyle, Chairman of the Board, and her son, Tim Boyle, President and CEO, lead the company.
Columbia's history starts with Gert's parents, Paul and Marie Lamfrom, when they fled Germany in 1937. They bought a small hat distributorship in Portland, Oregon, and named it Columbia Hat Company, after the river bordering the city. Soon frustrated by poor deliveries from suppliers, the Lamfroms decided to start manufacturing products themselves. In 1948, Gert married college sweetheart Neal Boyle, who joined the family business and later took the helm of the growing company. When Neal suddenly died of a heart attack in 1970, Gert enlisted help from Tim, then a college senior. After that, it wasn't long before business really started to take off. Columbia was one of the first companies to make jackets from waterproof/breathable fabric. They introduced the breakthrough technology called the Columbia Interchange System, in which a shell and liner combine for multiple wearing options. In the early 1980s, then 60-year-old Gert began her role as "Mother Boyle" in Columbia's successful and popular advertising campaign.
The company went public in 1998 and moved into a new era as a world leader in the active outdoor apparel industry. Today, Columbia Sportswear employs more than 1,800 people around the world and distributes and sells products in more than 50 countries and to more than 12,000 retailers internationally.
What's in the Box?
Trekster sleeping bag, compression stuff sack with ID tag
Manufacturer's Warranty
Lifetime warranty

Wenzel Northfork 20-Degree Sleeping Bag (Black, Green, Green Plaid)

A great choice for weekend sleep-overs and mild weather camping, the extra-long Wenzel Northfork is an affordable rectangular sleeping bag that's temperature rated to 20 degrees Fahrenheit. It's filled with 5 pounds of Wenzel's hypoallergenic Insul-Therm polyester fiber fill, and it has a durable polyester outer shell as well as a soft polyester/cotton liner with a classic plaid pattern. The quilt-through construction helps reduce the bunching of fill to eliminate cold spots. Two-bags can be zipped together or unzipped to use as comforter. Other features include self-repairing zippers, a personal storage pocket at the foot, and two elastic bundling straps.
Specifications:

Shell material: Polyester
Liner material: Polyester/cotton
Size: 84 by 33 inches
Fill weight: 5 pounds
Zipper side: Right

Other features include an insulated draft tube with anti-snag zipper protection, adjustable storm collar, easy-grab pull tabs, and compression straps at the bottom of the bag. This long bag has a maximum user height of 6 feet, 5 inches.
Specifications:

Size: 38 by 80 inches
Carry size: 10 by 38 inches
Fill weight: 4 pounds, 8 ounces
Carry weight: 8 pounds, 12 ounces
Shell: 10-ounce cotton duck
Liner: 100 percent yarn-dyed cotton flannel

About Slumberjack
Slumberjack has been known as the outdoor sleep expert or for more than 50 years. They have built this reputation for being the best by building the finest quality sleeping systems in the world, while addressing the needs of virtually all market segments from backpacking and trekking to family camping and hunting and fishing. With over five decades of experience in the industry, Slumberjack has taught everyone that "roughing it" doesn't have to mean being uncomfortable. That's why their selection of sleeping bags, self-inflating mats, self-inflating chairs, camp furniture, bivy shelters, and accessories offers a choice for every season and a fit for nearly every size and shape.
